A friend of mine who is in the jewelry business once told me a story about a woman who came into his store. She was looking for a special gift for her husband, and she wanted something unique. After looking around for a while, she settled on a beautiful necklace.
My friend told her that the necklace was very expensive, but the woman said that she didn’t care. She was willing to pay whatever it took to make her husband happy. My friend rang up the sale, and the woman was very happy with her purchase.
A few weeks later, the woman came back to the store. She was carrying a bag, and she asked my friend to sell her the necklace that she had bought a few weeks earlier. When my friend asked her why she wanted to sell the necklace, the woman said that her husband had told her that he didn’t like it.
My friend was surprised to hear this, but he sold the woman the necklace anyway. He figured that she must have really wanted to get rid of it, and he didn’t want to stand in the way of her happiness.

Thank you for your interest in my jewelry commission services. I am happy to provide you with a breakdown of my commission rates, as well as some information on the process.
All of my commission work is done by hand, using traditional metalsmithing techniques. I take great care in creating pieces that are both beautiful and durable, and I am confident that my jewelry will last a lifetime.
Commission rates vary depending on the size and complexity of the piece. Generally, however, my rates start at $50 per hour. I require a 50% deposit to begin work on a commission, and the final payment is due when the piece is completed.
